Our time with the Rennaisance Box has come to an end. We had a great time, met new people, and held many TCPHP and tcbug meetings in their great meeting space!
Sadly, the Renaissance Box lacked the resources to sustain itself and continue accommodating pajunas and the local technical community. The building has been sold, and ownership will soon be transferred to the Central Community Housing Trust. While the RenBox vision was never fully realized, we are excited to see that it will be in good hands. In contrast with many of the high-priced condo developments in the area, the RenBox building will become a community, business and living space for mixed income residents.
While we are disappointed to be without office space, this redoubles our committment to providing more resources and community space for the Twin Cities technical community.
